AAO Donated Orthodontic Services Program Changes

The AAO Donated Orthodontic Services (DOS) Program is preparing for change in 2020 and they want you to be a part of these exciting efforts.

As you know, DOS is a volunteer program providing orthodontic care for children who cannot afford treatment:

  • In 2019 alone, DOS volunteers completed 142 cases.
  • Volunteers have provided more than $5.1 million dollars in donated services, since program inception.
  • Since 2009, orthodontists have treated 943 youth.

The DOS program will be moving inhouse to the AAO with a dedicated program coordinator!

If you would like to join the 32 NESO orthodontists already participating as volunteers and contributing to the success of Donated Orthodontic Services, please fill out the interest form.

For more information, please review the patient application and eligibility criteria on AAO’s consumer website. Additionally, please review the one-pagers for volunteers and patients.
