Dr. Sonia Palleck
Dr. Palleck is a two-time graduate of the University of Western Ontario (UWO), having completed her dental program in 1993 and her masters in orthodontics in 1999. In private practice for 22 years, she was a clinical instructor at UWO for 10 years and served three terms as president of the Oxford County Dental Society. She has a special interest in office systems, digital orthodontics, specifically Insignia Advanced Smile Design. Dr. Palleck has lectured internationally on clinical orthodontics, practice management and the importance of team leadership.
Michelle Shimmin is an International lecturer, trainer and consultant who has been in the field of orthodontics since 1990, working as a Registered Dental Assistant, teaching orthodontic assisting, marketing, financials, treatment coordinating and practice management.
Michelle travels the country and helps transform orthodontic offices on their systems to promote training, growth, and success through a comprehensive practice approach. She is now considered one of the most in demand trainers with many lecture events a year, both domestic and international, including the 2014, 2016, and 2018 Align Ortho Summit, AAO, PCSO, HSO, SCAO, TIO and many others. She has also authored articles for publications such as Bentson Copple’s reSource and Colle + McVoy’s Global Teen Edge Newsletter.
Michelle and her husband, Chris, live near Seattle, Washington with their two teenage sons. They enjoy family, friends, sun, golf, and water sports. Michelle and her family are avid snow skiers, University of Washington Husky fans and diehard Seahawks enthusiasts. She is involved in her church and volunteers on the board for the Cedar Park Christian Junior Football program.
Dr. Sandra Tai
Dr Sandra Khong Tai received her graduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Minnesota, USA. She is a practicing Specialist in Orthodontics in Vancouver, Canada and Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthodontics at the University of British Columbia. She is also Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr Sandra Tai has been an Invisalign certified orthodontist since 2000 and is currently an Invisalign Diamond Plus Provider who has treated over 3,000 cases with Invisalign clear aligners. Dr Tai is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics and the author of the textbook “Clear Aligner Technique”. (Quintessence Publishing 2018) which has been translated into 11 languages – English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portugese, Russian, Korean, Chinese, Turkish and Japanese. She has authored a chapter on Clear Aligner Treatment in the 7th edition of Graber’s Orthodontics (Elsevier 2021), and she is also a reviewer for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr Tai is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, a Fellow of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists, Canada. Professional affiliations include memberships in the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists and Edward H Angle Society of Orthodontists. Dr Tai has lectured extensively on clear aligner technique all over the world. She is one of the pioneer testing doctors on Invisalign with Mandibular Advancement and Invisalign First appliance and is involved in several research projects on clear aligners.

Dr. Neal Kravitz
Dr. Kravitz is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, member of the Edward Angle Honor Society, and Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. Dr. Kravitz is a graduate of Columbia University and received his D.M.D. and the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a prolific writer for numerous journals. Dr. Kravitz lectures throughout the country and internationally on treatment planning, biomechanics, practice management, and ethics.
Dr Laura Reardon
Dr Laura Reardon is the medical director at Lotus Health Clinic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and focuses her clinical practise on diabetes and obesity. She is board-licensed physician of Family Medicine with a residency focus on bariatric medicine. Dr Reardon is diplomate of American Board of Obesity medicine and is currently working on a fellowship in clinical lipidology. She has a keen interest in obesity and diabetes research.
She is an avid ironman triathlete and mother of three teenagers and one new baby boy!
Dr. Glenn Krieger
Dr. Krieger graduated dental school in 1992 and moved to Seattle in 1996, where he established a solo boutique restorative practice. Making little money and feeling isolated and stressed out from the day-to-day management of a dental practice, Dr. Krieger spent thousands of hours attending every business, management and leadership course he could find. He learned about the importance of well-designed practice policies and systems during a year at the Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale Arizona, and an understanding of general accounting practices and industrial psychology at the University of Washington Graduate Business School’s “Dentist as CEO” program.
Dr. Krieger has presented to thousands of dentists in North America and has been published in textbooks and dental periodicals. Dentistry Today has named him “Top Clinician in Continuing Education” 9 times.
After 20 years as a restorative and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Krieger returned to residency to become an orthodontist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He currently maintains a private orthodontic practice in Lewisville, TX and is the administrator of OrthoPreneurs, a Facebook group dedicated to helping orthodontists run their practices with an entrepreneurial bent.
Most importantly, Dr. Krieger is a dedicated husband of 23 years, a father to three great kids and lives in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Kathy Russell
Dr. Russell graduated with both her BSc (1986) and DDS (1990) from Dalhousie University (Halifax, NS, Canada). This was followed by a Dental Residency at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto (1991) and her specialty Diploma in Orthodontics (1993) and MSc (1994) focused on cleft lip and palate both from the University of Toronto. Following graduation, she joined the Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University where she is now a full-time tenured full Professor and Head of the Division of Orthodontics. She also is the Chair and Orthodontist on the IWK Health Centre Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Teams. She maintains a community-based private Orthodontic practice as well in Halifax, N.S. She has an active research program and is published in the area of cleft lip and palate, image analysis, and dental biomaterials. She is a Section Editor for the Cleft Palate – Craniofacial Journal (CPJ). She is a founding member of the Americleft Research Group and continues involvement with the group focused on Outcomes Assessments for best Practices of Care. She was awarded the Cleft Palate Foundation Junior Investigator Grant (1997) as well as the Berkowitz Award for best long-term Outcome Study published in the CPJ (2017), and as a co-author the Berkowitz Award twice again (2012, 2020). Internationally, she participated in an Operation Smile medical mission to Africa.
Dr. Jean-Charles Doucet
Dr. Jean-Charles Doucet, DMD, MD, MSc, FRCD(C) is an Assistant Professor of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Science at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. He completed his dentistry degree (DMD) at the University of Montreal in 2004, followed by a general practice residency at the Notre-Dame Hospital and University of Montreal in 2005. He obtained both his medical degree and masters of Science, and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Dalhousie University in 2011. He then concluded his subspecialty training with a Cleft and Craniofacial Fellowship at the University of Montpellier, France in 2012.
Dr. Doucet joined the QE II Health Sciences Centre and IWK Health Centre, Halifax, Canada in July 2012 as an attending oral and maxillofacial surgeon. His principal clinical interests include the primary and secondary repair of cleft lip and palate, the surgical management of cleft related speech problems, and the correction of other craniofacial deformities. Dr. Doucet is a member of the Americleft research Group and has numerous peer-reviewed publications. His research interests focus on the primary repair of the cleft lip nasal deformity, early alveolar bone grafting, and cleft distraction osteogenesis.

Dr. Bryan Lockhart
Dr. Lockhart is a Board Certified orthodontist with two orthodontic offices in Charlotte, NC where he practices with his wife and fellow orthodontist, Dr. Lauren Rennick Lockhart. Originally from Decatur, GA, Dr. Lockhart attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for dental school. He attended a 1 year General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center before obtaining his Certificate in Orthodontics from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville FL. Dr. Lockhart furthered his learning by attending Jacobi Medical Center in New York for an Orthodontic/ Orthognathic Surgical Fellowship. Dr. Lockhart is well versed in fixed appliances as well clear aligners. He has developed his own clear aligner brand, Dualine, using in house aligners which he lectures on. Dr. Lockhart has an issued patent on LockOn, a device used to facilitate orthognathic surgery on patients undergoing clear aligner therapy. His professional memberships include AAO, SAO and NCAO, the latter of which he is a member of the executive board.
Dr. Declan Hennessey
Dr Hennessey is a newly graduated board certified orthodontist, currently working as an associate in 3 busy orthodontic practises in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Originally from Ireland, Dr Hennessey obtained his Doctor of Dental Science degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He then worked as a general dentist for 4 years in private practise. During this time, he successfully completed his membership exams for the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.
In 2017 he emigrated to Canada to obtained his Masters of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba. Dr Hennessey is passionate about continual education, seeking out the latest technologies to striving to provide the best possible patient experience and clinical result. His professional memberships include the AAO and CAO.
Dr. Jeff Blasius
Dr. Jeff earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut where he graduated from the Honors Program with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Moving across the state, he attended dental school and completed his orthodontic training at the University of Connecticut Health Center–both nationally ranked premier programs. While at dental school, Dr. Jeff completed his coursework in the Masters of Public Health Program, finishing his thesis during the three year orthodontic residency training.
Upon completion of dental school, he was admitted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society and Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. Dr. Jeff earned his Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s degree in Dental Science.
Dr. Jeff returned to Vermont in 2001 to join Associates in Orthodontics. He has published three papers in peer reviewed orthodontic journals based on his Master’s degree research in sleep apnea and workforce issues. He is a Diplomate and board-certified orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Jeff is a proud member of the Vermont Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, the Champlain Valley Dental Society, Vermont State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the World Federation of Orthodontists. He has been heavily involved in the leadership of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontics.
When he is not straightening teeth, Dr. Jeff can be found playing a variety of sports with his two boys, “working” in the yard on his tractor, or getting into some handyman/woodworking project.
Dr. Jonny Feldman
Jonny Feldman, raised in Cheshire, Connecticut, graduated from Colgate University Magna Cum Laude in 1990 with B.A. degree in Biology. He then enrolled at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he graduated in 1994. From 1994 to 1997, Jonny completed a residency in Orthodontics and a Masters in Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Upon completion of his residency, he moved back to Connecticut and joined his father, Barry Feldman, in private practice in Cheshire, Connecticut. In April 1997, Jonny joined the Department of Orthodontics at UCONN as a part-time clinical professor. He has been teaching there every Thursday since 1997. His brother, David Feldman (Colgate ‘89, UCONN Dental ’95, Stony Brook Orthodontics ’98) joined Jonny and his father in 1998, where they all practiced together in Cheshire and Wallingford, Connecticut. In 2007, Dr. Kelly Morrison (UCONN Dental ‘02, UCONN Orthodontics ’06) and in 2017, Dr. Preeti K. Chandhoke (UCONN DMD and PhD, 2008) joined them in private practice in Cheshire, Wallingford and North Haven, CT.
Dr. Regina Blevins
Dr. Blevins started her career in dentistry in 1980 as a Dental hygiene graduate of C.S. Mott Community college. She attended the University of Michigan where she received her degree in Dentistry in 1987. Her appreciation and love for the fine art of the cosmetic side of dentistry led her to pursue her orthodontic graduate training at the University of Minnesota, where she received her certificate in orthodontics and Master of Science Degree in 1991. Dr. Barry J Glaser
Dr. Barry Glaser received his DMD degree from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and earned his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Orthodontics from Boston University. He served as Associate Director of Orthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City from 1992 to 1995. He has maintained a private orthodontic practice in Cortlandt Manor, NY, USA since 1994.
Dr. Glaser was an early adopter of both Invisalign Teen as well as iTero digital scanning and has extensive experience treating children, teens, and adults of all malocclusions with Invisalign clear aligners. He is the Principal Investigator for the North American clinical trial for Invisalign Treatment with Mandibular Advancement. Dr. Glaser is a frequent speaker for Align Technology, Inc. and Dental Monitoring, providing insight on clinical treatment with clear aligners and the psychology of compliance and how AI enhances the patient experience. Dr. Thomas Barron
Doctor Barron received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at Tufts University and his Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science in Oral Biology from the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine. He has been in the private specialty practice of Orthodontics for 30 years and is a member of the Dean’s Faculty in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine.
He is a member of the ORMCO Speakers Bureau and has lectured internationally on Passive Self-Ligation treatment. He is a co-author of the Damon System university teaching modules used to teach orthodontic residents around the world.
Dr. Dan Stuart
Dr Dan Stuart is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthodontics. He is business partners with Dr Sarah Davidson and Associate Dr Declan Hennessey with three clinics in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He received a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Dalhousie University, practiced general dentistry for five years and then attended the University of Manitoba for a Master of Science in Orthodontics. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr Stuart is a published author and international lecturer. He is the Past President of the Society of Dental Specialists of Nova Scotia and Past President of the Atlantic Orthodontists Association. He is currently the President of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists. He is also a Scientific Officer on the Board of Directors for Photo-Dynamic Inc. Dr. Lisa Davison is proud to serve her community’s orthodontic needs in Powell, Ohio. Dr. Alex McLellan
Dr. Alex McLellan has a diverse scientific background specializing in the natural health products industry. He has built and managed research collaborations for the development of treatments for diabetes, neuropathic pain, the prevention and treatment of age related cognitive decline, and the photodynamic inactivation of dental plaque. Dr. McLellan has extensive experience in new product identification, formulation and development, regulatory strategy, human clinical trial management and the successful attainment of intellectual property rights. He has secured and managed over $10M in research grants and support, built collaborative research teams of university, industry, and government scientists, and managed the R&D department of successful natural health products companies. He is also the co-author of two books in the field of natural health, Healing Diabetes (CCNM Press 2007) and The Numb Foot Book (Medhelp Press 2009; a guide to the treatment and prevention of peripheral neuropathy). Dr. Lou Shuman
Lou Shuman, DMD, CAGS, is the founder and CEO of Cellerant Consulting Group, Dentistry’s leading corporate incubator and accelerator currently serving 42 companies. Cellerant Consulting is also the exclusive incubator and accelerator for Patterson and Envista. He is a venturer-in-residence at the Harvard i-lab. He is the only dentist to be chosen both as a Top CE Leader and Leader in Dental Consulting by Dentistry Today where he has won the award 15 years running.
Recently, he was awarded the American Mobile & Teledental Alliance’s highest honor, the Denobi Pinnacle Achievement Award, which recognizes an individual or company whose leadership and ongoing contributions have dramatically impacted the dental profession. Going forward, the award will be named in his honor and known as the Dr. Lou Shuman Denobi Pinnacle Achievement Award. He is the past owner of a 10-doctor private group practice where he specialized in Adult Orthodontics. Giving back to the community, Dr. Shuman recreated the mission of the Walt Disney 25th Anniversary Tour at its Boston venue. He single handedly implemented a two-day extravaganza for the underprivileged and hospitalized youth community in New England that eventually resulted in him receiving Walt Disney’s most prestigious honor for “creating a new direction of purpose for their company.”
Dr. Mehdi Peikar
Dr. Mehdi Peikar is the inventor of BRIUS and the founder of BRIUS Technologies, Inc. Dr. Peikar is a practicing orthodontist from the UCLA School of Dentistry. Prior to practicing orthodontics, he received a master’s degree in Quantum Mechanics and Condensed Matter from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D in Biomechanics from Johns Hopkins University. His unique background in academia has been instrumental in the design of BRIUS and continues to drive success in achieving superior biomechanical results. The first BRIUS was tested on a wax model and has since received FDA approval with numerous successful treatments.
Dr. Hatice Hasturk
Dr. Hatice Hasturk is a Senior Member of the Staff and the Director of Center for Clinical and Translational Research Center at the Forsyth Institute, Cambridge, MA, USA. She also holds an Adjunct Associate Professor position at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She received her dental degree in 1988 and her Ph.D. in periodontology in 1995 in Ankara, Turkey and certificate of advanced graduate sciences in periodontology from Boston University in 2004. She is a board-certified periodontist practicing part time along with her research activities.
Dr. Hasturk’s research focuses on the immune mechanisms between periodontitis and systemic inflammatory diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis and treatment of periodontal diseases by regulation of inflammatory response and novel therapeutics in resolution of inflammation. Her research has been directed at clinical and translational research since early 2000 and supported by grants from the NIH/NIDCR, industry and foundations. She has authored/coauthored more than 100 scientific publications and numerous abstracts and book chapters in peer-reviewed dental and medical journals.
Dr. Rooz Khosravi
Dr. Rooz Khosravi is a clinical assistant professor of orthodontics at the University of Washington and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He practices orthodontics at Porth (Personalized Orthodontics), fully digital clinics located in Sammamish and Bellevue, Washington. Dr. Rooz exclusively uses Porth aligners designed and fabricated at PORTH using the uLab systems digital platform. He lectures nationally and internationally on implementation of in-house aligner systems and 3D printing. Dr. Rooz is an orthodontist-scientist consultant at leading companies morphing the digital era of orthodontics. He also established Digital Orthodontics Hub that offers on-demand and in-clinic courses on how to implement the latest digital technology in daily practice of orthodontics.
