The Quartier international de Montréal and its attractions
The Quartier international is a new urban area located between the business district and Old Montreal. A large-scale development and revitalization project, QIM’s mission is to promote and develop Montreal’s international role. It is a truly contemporary, prestigious, and exclusive environment, offering an exceptional quality of life just a few meters from our hotel. Thanks to its superior development concept and its status as a hub for international activities in Canada, the Quartier has become Montreal’s main strategic growth sector. Re-establishing the link between two high places of Montreal tourism, the QIM is designed to be a showcase of local talent and know-how in terms of design and innovation. The redevelopment of Square Victoria with its series of fountains and the creation of Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle featuring his work entitled La Joute are just some of the attractions that visitors can enjoy during their getaway. Moreover, a cultural discovery walks, integrating 24 different attractions, is designed to introduce visitors to the hidden treasures of the district.
Underground Montreal: directly accessible from the Hotel Bonaventure
Underground Montreal is a vast network of footbridges that extend beneath the surface. To give an idea of the scope of this network, it is nearly 30 kilometers of connection zones, passages and crossroads that unfold under the city center. Every day, more than 500,000 people pass through the underground city on their way to work, to university or to do business in more than 1,700 shops and businesses. It is therefore an ideal place to take full advantage of a day when the weather is not conducive to exploring outside. The Hotel Bonaventure also benefits from direct access to the metro network. This feature allows visitors to travel to a multitude of tourist destinations without even having to step outside.
