Paul Gange Jr.
Paul Gange Jr. is the Vice President of Reliance Orthodontic Products. He has become a leader in resolving difficult technical bonding issues through countless chairside hours training clinical staff. His passion for research and development has influenced many new Reliance products and aided numerous research projects.
Paul is a published author, lectures domestically and internationally at numerous universities, study clubs, constituent meetings as well as the AAO for the past 8 years. His greatest fulfillment comes from hands-on training for doctors and staff in private offices.
David Harris
David Harris is an author, international speaker, and CEO of his company, Prosperident. For over three decades, David has made it his mission to catch and send dental embezzlers to jail, and to share his vast knowledge so that dentists can protect their practices.
David has numerous accreditations including being a Forensic CPA, Certified Fraud Examiner, and licensed Private Investigator.
Chris Jackson
Dr. Jackson received her BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, after which she parlayed a poker hobby into a five-year career as a High-Yield Bond Trader for Goldman Sachs. She then attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed her orthodontic residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Today, she is a clinician in private practice, is adjunct faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and continues to innovate with LightForce as Director of Clinical Affairs.
Dr. Jackson received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, after which she parlayed a poker hobby into a five-year career as a High-Yield Bond Trader for Goldman Sachs. She then attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed her orthodontic residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following residency, she obtained funding from the National Science Foundation to investigate 3D metal printing protocols for orthodontic appliances. Today, she is a clinician in private practice, is adjunct faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and innovates with LightForce as Director of Clinical Affairs. She resides in Lexington, MA with her husband and three daughters.
Neal Kravitz
Dr. Kravitz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, member of the Edward Angle Society, Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, and an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Kravitz also chairs the AAO Committee on Technology and serves on the AAO Committee on Conferences. He is a graduate of Columbia University and received his D.M.D. and the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kravitz lectures throughout the country and internationally on treatment planning, biomechanics, practice management, and ethics, quickly building a reputation as one of the country’s most dynamic speakers.
Glenn D. Krieger, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Krieger graduated dental school in 1992 and moved to Seattle in 1996, where he established one of the country’s top solo boutique restorative practices. Having drawn upon a lifelong love of photography, Dr. Krieger merged his knowledge of traditional photographic technique with the advantages of digital cameras. The result was the revolutionary “Digital Co-Diagnosis™” process, where patients play a much larger role in their dental health choices through better education. The cornerstone of this process is exceptional clinical photography.
Dr. Krieger has presented to thousands of dentists internationally and has been published in textbooks and dental periodicals. Dentistry Today has named him “Top Clinician in Continuing Education” 10 times.
After 20 years as a restorative and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Krieger returned to residency to become an orthodontist and is one of a handful of clinicians to be both a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Board Certified Orthodontist. He was the country’s youngest dental student when he began dental school in 1988 and the oldest orthodontic resident in the country when he started his specialty training in 2012.
He recently partnered with Smile Doctors, a Private Equity based Orthodontic group while continuing clinical practice with his partner, Dr. Douglas R. Shaw.
Dr. Krieger is the administrator of the Orthopreneurs Facebook group with over 6000 Orthodontist members in 91 countries and the founder of the Orthopreneurs Summit meeting, the premier orthodontic business meeting. He has also established Orthopreneurs University, the industry’s top platform for online orthodontic continuing education as well as the Orthopreneurs RD private, geographically exclusive mastermind group.
Most importantly, Dr. Krieger is a dedicated husband of 29 years, a father to three great kids, best friend to 2 Labradoodles and lives in Dallas, TX.
Brent Larson
Dr. Larson obtained his dental degree from the University of Minnesota, completed a general practice residency and practiced general dentistry for 3 years in the U.S Air Force. He received his Orthodontic training at the University of North Carolina before joining the staff at the Mayo Clinic. At Mayo he served as Program Director in Orthodontics and received several “Teacher of the Year” awards. In 1996 Dr. Larson left Mayo to start GLK Orthodontics, a private practice in Rochester, MN where he practiced for 25 years. In 2004 he returned to full-time academics at the University of Minnesota where he currently serves as Professor and Director of the Division of Orthodontics. He has published many scientific articles and collaborated with his mentor, Dr. Proffit, on the latest edition of the Contemporary Orthodontics textbook.
Dr. Larson has received the Distinguished Dental Alumnus Award and Century Club Professor of the Year from the University of Minnesota. He is also the 2018 recipient of the Jarabak Award given for significant contribution to orthodontic teaching and research.
Dr. Larson has served as President of the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists, President of the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists (MSO) and as the 2018-2019 President of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). He and his wife Cindy have 3 sons, 2 of which are orthodontists, and 5 energetic grandchildren.
Killian MacCarthy
Dr. Killian MacCarthy is a Board Certified Oral Surgeon practicing full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a specific interest in orthognathic surgery in South Portland, Maine for 16 years. He received his doctorate of medical dentistry from the University of Connecticut, his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and his certificate of Oral Surgery from Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a member of the MDA, ADA, AAMOS, and a Board Examiner for The American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.
Tarryn MacCarthy
Dr. Tarryn MacCarthy has been practicing Orthodontics for more than 20 years. She is an Author, Motivational Speaker, Podcast Host of The Business of Happiness Podcast, Happiness and Prosperity Coach and Co-Founder of Mbrace Orthodontics in Falmouth, Maine. With a degree in Psychology from Boston University, a graduate from The University of Connecticut Dental School and a certificate in Orthodontics from Tufts University, Dr. MacCarthy is a member of the AAO, MDA, ADA, a North American Invisalign Faculty Member, and a member of The Dental Speakers Institute and The Dental Speaker’s Bureau.
Anthony Mair
Dr Anthony Mair received his dental degree from McGill University in 1987 and his Master of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics from University of Western Ontario in 1990. Since then, he has been in private practice in Toronto. Dr Mair is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Orthodontics department at Western University and a Clinical Instructor in Graduate Orthodontics at University of Toronto. He is a Past President of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists and has served on the Scientific Content Committee of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists since 2015. Dr Mair has a particular interest in Biomechanics, Treatment Efficiency and Non-surgical management of complex cases. He has given presentations on these topics across North America.
Steve McEvoy
Steve McEvoy is an IT professional and project manager for MME Consulting, Inc., a computer company that specializes in serving Dental Practices nationwide with offices here in the Seattle Area. He has 20+ years’ experience working hands-on with the technologies used in practices like yours. He is a past Chair of the AAO Committee on Information Technology (CTech).
Won Moon
Dr. Won Moon is the Founder/CEO of the Moon Principles Institute (“the MoonLab”) and a Co-founder/Chief Innovations Officer of BioTech Innovations. He served as the Thomas R. Bales Endowed Chair in Orthodontics for the orthodontic residency program at UCLA School of Dentistry (2013-2020), and he currently holds three academic positions: Full-Professorship at Ajou University School of Medicine, and Adjunct Professorship at the Forsyth Institute and Kyung Hee University. He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 2002.
He completed his dental education at Harvard and orthodontic education at UCLA. He studied mathematics prior to dentistry. His work has been published in various journals, not necessarily limited to orthodontics because of his physical science background, and he is a co-author of seven textbooks, including the Graber’s 7th Edition. He has presented these findings in over 42 countries, totaling over 550 presentations. He received multiple research grants during his tenure at UCLA, including the Groundbreaking Research Project Grant Award in 2014. Besides the numerous research and presentation awards over the years, he has received the “Faculty of the Year Award” multiple times, and he was the recipient of the “Lifetime Achievement and Faculty Dedication/Excellence Award” in 2019 and the “Best Mentor Award” in 2022. His current focus has been establishing protocols for orthopedic corrections with MI, improving the airway for patients with nasal obstruction, creating virtual patients utilizing image analysis and FEM, and developing a novel Aligner System.
His interest in mid-facial expansion began in 2004 as micro-implant became available in the USA, and he is responsible for developing Maxillary Skeletal Expander (MSE), a unique micro-implant assisted rapid palatal expander (MARPE). He has been active in advocating non-surgical skeletal expansion in both children and adult patients, especially for those who may suffer from airway restrictions. His presentation in MSE has been widely accepted internationally, and numerous peer-reviewed publications are available.
Lauren Pass
Dr. Lauren Pass is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA. She went on to complete her Master of Science degree in Orthodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, where she served as Chief Resident. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists, where she serves on the Board of Trustees. She provides orthodontic treatment to children and adults via traditional metal braces, ceramic braces, Invisalign, and appliances in 4 DSO practices in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.

As the CEO and co-founder of Black Talon Security, Gary Salman provides guidance and education to corporate leaders on cybersecurity issues through cutting-edge technology and training. Black Talon is a leader in cybersecurity for small and medium size businesses. Gary is dedicated to data security and understanding the latest trends in the industry, particularly as they relate to the dental industry. He has decades of experience in software development and computer IT and developed one of the very first Cloud-based healthcare systems.
As a sought-after speaker and writer, Gary also lectures nationally on cybersecurity threats and their impact on the healthcare industry. He has lectured and trained tens of thousands of practices across the U.S. on how to maintain “best practices” in cybersecurity and has been featured in some of the largest national publications and news stories in the dental, medical, legal and financial industries.
In addition, Gary has over 19 years as an instructor at West Point and is involved in law enforcement. He is also a member in InfraGard.
Black Talon has been called in to assist with some of the largest distributed ransomware attacks in U.S. history which resulted in millions of dollars of ransom payments and tens of millions of dollars in damages to the victims. In every instance, all data was recovered and successfully decrypted. Black Talon is also an expert in preventative measures as well as incident response.
Glenn T. Sameshima, BA, DDS, PhD
Chairman and Program Director, Advanced Orthodontic Program at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA. His BA is from UCLA, DDS from UC San Francisco, and orthodontic training and PhD in Craniofacial Biology from USC. Glenn has served on the PCSO Board of Directors, the AAO Council on Education, the AAO Covid 19 Task Force, and is the current AAO CODA Commissioner. He main research area of interest is root resorption, and his book on the subject is the first. Dr Sameshima has a private practice in Torrance, California and is an ABO Diplomate.
Glenn Sameshima is a California native who grew up on US military bases around the world. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in mathematics, he went to UC San Francisco for his DDS. He joined the Air Force and served for seven years as a general dentist but decided to specialize in orthodontics. Inspired by his ortho boss at USC, Harry Dougherty Sr, he decided to pursue a career in ortho education and clinical research, achieving his PhD in Craniofacial Biology two years after his ortho training. Glenn has been teaching full time for over 30 years and has been the chair and program director for 17 of those years. He is also the clinic director and has taught everything from statistics to biomechanics to technology. Glenn has mentored many students, scholars, and faculty, and been fortunate enough to lecture at many international meetings. His research interests are mostly clinical and his recent book on orthodontic root resorption is the first on the subject. Believing that supporting the specialty is very important, Glenn has served on the PCSO Board of Directors, chaired the AAO Council on Education, advocated for the profession on the Hill, served during the pandemic on the AAO COVID19 Task Force, and is presently the AAO CODA Commissioner. Dr Sameshima maintains a part-time private practice in Torrance, California and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
