Atlantic Orthodontists’ Association Spring Meeting

Dr. Christos Papadopoulos

The Atlantic Orthodontists’ Association (AOA) held its annual spring meeting in May, at the beautiful Ashburn Golf Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Orthodontists from across Atlantic Canada gathered for a day of continuing education, professional collaboration, and fellowship.

This year’s meeting was proudly sponsored by GC Orthodontics, who brought internationally renowned speaker Dr. Antonino Secchi to Halifax. Dr. Secchi delivered an outstanding educational program, sharing his extensive clinical experience and insights into contemporary orthodontic treatment. Attendees benefited from his practical approach, engaging presentation style, and wealth of knowledge, which stimulated thoughtful discussion throughout the day.

Beyond the educational component, the meeting provided an excellent opportunity for colleagues from across the region to reconnect, share experiences, and discuss developments within the specialty of orthodontics. These annual gatherings continue to strengthen professional relationships and foster a spirit of collaboration among Atlantic Canadian orthodontists.

Following the scientific program, attendees enjoyed a wonderful evening together over dinner on Halifax’s waterfront. The relaxed setting provided an opportunity to continue conversations, strengthen friendships, and celebrate the strong sense of community that exists within our profession.

On behalf of the AOA, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to GC Orthodontics for their generous support and to Dr. Secchi for sharing his expertise with our members. We would also like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the meeting.

A memorable and enjoyable event was had by all, and we look forward to welcoming our colleagues again for the Atlantic Orthodontists’ Association Spring Meeting next year.

Any and all NESO members are welcome to attend!
