We are now accepting nominations from the NESO Membership to become a NESO Delegate! Volunteering in this important leadership role allows you to represent your constituency and help shape the future of your profession.
The main responsibility of a NESO Delegate is to represent the Society at the AAO House of Delegates. Delegates convene annually at the AAO Annual Session (and by virtual means, as necessary) to discuss and vote on resolutions that are submitted by various AAO Councils and Committees, and participate in related conversations throughout the year. In addition, Delegates are reimbursed for their travel expenses associated with AAO.
This is an excellent opportunity to guide your professional organization and enhance your own leadership skills. While each term is one year in length, we encourage volunteers to participate for a minimum two-year commitment.
To be considered for a Delegate position, please submit your CV and a brief statement of interest to info@neso.org by June 15, 2017. To be eligible for consideration, your active membership must be in good standing.
