The AAO’s Leadership Development Conference offered a unique opportunity to engage with both established and emerging leaders within organized orthodontics. Hearing firsthand testimonials from AAO members who were once in positions similar to mine was particularly inspiring. Many of them are now thriving in key leadership roles, contributing significantly to the AAO’s mission. As someone eager to become more involved at both the local and national levels, the LDC provided valuable insights on aligning one’s passions with the AAO’s objectives to create meaningful impact.
Effective leadership is the cornerstone of an organization’s continued success, and strong leaders actively nurture the next generation to build upon a solid foundation. The LDC clearly demonstrated the AAO’s commitment to this principle, and I am both excited and proud to look ahead to the opportunities that await me and my colleagues, having been part of such a motivating event.
